Club Maintenance Weekend
It is common each year, for a group of members to get together a couple of times a year for a club maintenance weekend, to carry out the maintenance tasks on an extensive list that accumulates throughout the year. This year the first of these was held a couple of weeks ago when a group got together under the foremanship of John and repaired the balustrade around our club patio. This involved taking the mast down temporarily and removing and replacing the balustrade as reported in a previous posting.
This past weekend (March 15th and 16th), however, involved a rather extensive list of general jobs that required doing, including a deep clean of the foyer, heads, galley, and main club room, as well as cleaning the trophies and cabinet and many other jobs.
The committee like to thank all those who turned up on one or both of the days allocated, to take part in this event, with lunch laid on by the vice commodore Adrian. A selection of pictures from this undertaking are posted below.
